Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan to be honoured posthumously

26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan will be honoured posthumously with the ”Maharana Pratap Shaurya Puraskar” at a function here for his supreme sacrifice for the nation. The NSG braveheart will be honoured on January 29 at a ”Kavi Sammelan” here, event organiser Advocate Banwarilal Sharma told reporters here today. Unnikrishnan”s parents will receive the bravery award on his behalf, Sharma said. The Harvanshrai Bachchan Sahitya Ratna Puraskar will be given to eminent Marathi literary figure S N Navare while the Chhatrapati Maharaj Gourav Puraskar will be presented to Narsingh Yadav, who bagged Gold in the Commonwealth Games in Wrestling, he said. Renowned poets across the country will participate in the meet, organised jointly by the Hindi Bashi Ekata Parishad and Rajastani Seva Samiti. Former judge of the Bombay High Court Justice Jayant Chitre will be the chief guest on the occasion
