The US State Department spokesman, Mark Toner, has said that Pakistan facing existential threats from terrorism and the US government was working with them to tackle those challenges.
This is not the first time that the US has given broad hints about it concern regarding the fragile internal security situation in Pakistan. India needs to create wide spread awareness about the threat that a weak Pakistan, tilting towards fundamentalism, poses to its security. India needs to assist the US in formulating policies that keep the concerns of the neighbourhood at high priority while attempting to save Pakistan from complete chaos.
